Meet the Artist of Hilltop Stories

Hi everyone,

We hope you will join us this coming Saturday from 1 pm to 2:30pm for a "Meet the Artists" Virtual Event featuring Dionne Bonner, recipient of the Tacoma Arts Initiative Project grant and Whitney Brady. These two artists will discuss their work in conjunction with the virtual exhibit Hilltop Stories: Video and Audio Reflections now on view. through Tacoma Public Library's Virtual Handforth Gallery.

This event will be held via Zoom and participants will need to register in advance.

A Zoom link will be sent 1 hour prior to the event.

Meet artists Dionne Bonner and Whitney Brady as they share their authentic stories of their lives and experiences as expressed in their virtual exhibit Hilltop Stories, Visual and Audio Reflections in the Virtual Handforth Gallery. Intimate reflections reveal the heart of a neighborhood through family and community memories. This online gallery exhibit will feature the visual art by Dionne Bonner and audio documenting the stories of Hilltop residents as recorded by Whitney Brady in a narrative description of an iconic place beloved and uniquely positioned at the heart of a city. Several guests will also be in attendance. Dionne is the recipient of Tacoma Art Initiative Project Funding. Registration is required for this program. Registration closes at 5:00pm on the day of the program. A Zoom link will be sent out an hour before the program begins to the address with which people registered.
