Good afternoon: The DOJ has filed a lawsuit today against the City of Los Angles regarding the city's sanctuary policies. The legal issues in the complaint are the same ones we've seen in prior complaints filed against Chicago, Denver, and Rochester and center on the Supremacy Clause. The complaint alludes to the national guard situation and also attempts to distinguish LA's ordinances from the laws already upheld by the Ninth Circuit in the first Trump administration in United States v.
