This boat is designed by Kurt Hughes who is currently deep into designing my 50' pilot house, power cat, LEVITATION...
He can be found at :

Some of the interesting <to me> features I am planning and designing into Levitation are:
*Layout optimized for a cruising couple with occasional guests
*Shallow draft to open more cruising and anchoring areas
*Completely independent of shorepower (not even a shore plug on the boat)
*Two separate engine systems -
1 for high speed running and maneuvering
1 for very high efficiency cruising
*High efficiency internal and external lighting
DC fluorescent cabin lighting
LED task lighting
LED running lights
*Super insulated large refrigerator and freezer, top loading for efficiency
With a small front opening frig at the cooking counter (sorta like a day tank)
*Small fresh water tank with RO water maker, so it's alway fresh
*Large holding tanks to minimize pump outs
*No thruhull openings below the waterline - zero, zip, nada.
*Solar panels to maintain battery set
High efficiency DC alternator driven by main engine for rapid charging
DC alternator doubles as a welding machine
Silent power, 1500 watt, generator as the power source of last resort
and for when you just gotta have a fix of city fumes!
*Boat built in a combination of WEST System and fiberglass composite
Using each material where it makes the most sense
*Single con station <the pilot house>
Makes no sense to me to have double or triple steering and electronics
Pilot house windows will open for that fly bridge sensation
*Work shop with a small drill press / lathe / welder / air compressor
Lots more details, but this should be enough to bore the list into somnolence...
Cheers ... denny
