Celebrate opening day of Travis Frazelle's latest body of work and Lakewold's next art exhibit, "Rainbows to the Anthropocenehttps://lakewoldgardens.org/travisfrazelle/," this Friday, August 12th, at 5:30 pm.
"Rainbows to the Anthropocene" is an exhibit of contrasting metaphors in bold imagery exploring the new age of humanity's dominating influence on the environment and our imperiled connection to and memory of a vibrant Earth. The inspiration for Frazelle's work is drawn directly from the immediate surroundings of his Tacoma home and the immediacy of this moment, highlighting the places where humanity and nature come in contact.
In Frazelle's words, "'Rainbows to the Anthropocene' is about Earth's accelerated and precarious journey into a new geological age. No one really knows what the earth will look like in 50 years or less, this is my vision of what mother earth may look like in the age of the Anthropocene."
