3/24 Stratford gulls, teal, ravens

3/24  Stratford, "Warehouse" Pond of McKinney NWR at 600 Long Beach Blvd.:  1
Blue-winged Teal (male), 56 Green-winged Teal (courting displays), 20 Gadwall,
12 Am. Wigeon, 2 Hooded Mergansers, pair of nest-building Mute Swans.

Oak Bluff Ave., near entrance to Long Beach:  pair of Common Ravens.

Lordship Seawall and Russian Beach, 5 pm - 8000+ gulls (estimated 50% Herring,
50% Ring-billed, plus one full adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL; no Bonaparte's
seen) plankton feeding &/or resting on water. Also many flocks of Brant, Greater
Scaup, Black Ducks, and lesser numbers of Am. Wigeon, Green-winged Teal, and
Red-breasted Mergansers also out there feeding.

Stratford Point, 5:30pm: 1st-cycle ICELAND GULL flew north along bluff, 50+
American Wigeon, good numbers of Common and Red-throated Loons, Long-tailed
Ducks.  I saw no Gannets.
