Sustainability & Active Transportation Specialist
The Specialist will serve directly with the Sustainability Manager and Active Transportation Coordinator to increase environmental awareness and positive behavior change through community outreach, education and staff engagement with the goal of reducing environmental impacts. The member will help achieve this goal by increasing active transportation use through promoting and supporting bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure and education, and also through direct environmental education and outreach.

Healthy Homes, Healthy Neighborhoods Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator will serve with the City of Tacoma's Sustainability Manager through the Northwest Leadership Foundation's Urban Leaders in Training program. This shared placement involves a few hours of leadership training each week alongside the promotion of sustainable behaviors in one Tacoma neighborhoods through intensive community outreach.
