Sumiyoshi/Continental Property Update

Vuecrest Pathways
Just a reminder that the pathways or “walking shortcuts” through Vuecrest are actually public right of ways owned by the city of Bellevue thus they are governed by city codes that prohibit skateboarding and motorized vehicles. Please notify the city if you observe a violation so they can address the issue.

New Apartment Buildings on 10th Street
The directors of Vuecrest encourage you to be involved with Bellevue’s building process surrounding our community. There are projects being submitted for city approval that could potentially affect easy access to our community and may impact homeowner’s views. It will take all of us to make a wave large enough to stop harmful progress to our community.  Please contact Mark Brennan with the Bellevue Planning Department for more information.

NEP Project Ideas (Neighborhood Enhancement Project)
The NEP Project has the potential to offer the Vuecrest community up to $300K in city funds for a project of our choosing! At the Bellevue City Open House  on April 18th which discussed this project, we were advised to submit as many suggested projects as possible. The NEP team would then evaluate those best suited to their program and then forward the others to appropriate departments in the City for possible inclusion in those budgets/projects.
Here is a link to the actual online form for our neighbors to submit their ideas:

Here’s some ideas to get you started…

  1. A traffic circle at the 10th entrance with an art installment

  2. Belfair/Belfair traffic circle

  3. Sidewalk from south entrance of Vuecrest to Meydenbauer Park entrance

  4. Sidewalk on 92nd from 8th to Clyde Hill boundary (connecting existing sidewalks bordering Vuecrest).

  5. Brick wall extension to 8th

  6. Speed bumps on Vineyard Crest

  7. Enhanced crossing with lights at Park across NE 8th
