I have spent more than 2 years total time offshore on floating vessels doing platform and pipeline installation work. I was thinking that I was looking for a Nordhavn or Selene or Kady Krogen type Trawler when I retired but I became intrigued with the design Dick Vermeulen was doing on the MaineCat P-47. I put money down on one late in 2007 and now am expecting delivery of Crackerjack, my Maine Cat P-47, in May of this year. I have enjoyed working with MaineCat over the last couple years to improve the design of the electrical and mechanical systems on the boat. I will take the boat on its bottom from Maine to Lake Superior where it will be berthedand used for a few years with a desire to take it to the Northwest of the US in a few years I have been a member of your Trawler and Great Loop group for a while and only recently learned there was a power cat group.
