Collegues:  --I recently reviewd two terrific books. Christina Nippert-Eng makes a major contribution to our understanding of the rich issues around the control of personal information in her just published Islands of Privacy.

Alexandra Natapoff advances legal and sociological understanding in one form of revelation --the gray area of criminal informants.

In a forthcoming article (Turtles, Firewalls, Scarlet Letters and Vacum Cleaners: Rules About Personal Information)
I suggest an approach to ordering some of the varied forms and processes of personal information control. Critical suggestions are
most welcome.  --Gary
