The Naples/Marco Island area of Florida must be the power-catamaran
capital of the U.S. as more power cats are sold there than anywhere
else.

<Then, terMeulen decided he wanted a boat with two engines, a boat
that would be stable in the gulf waters. He said he didn't want to be
"scared of a two-foot wave." So he bought a 23-foot center console
Carolina Skiff catamaran with twin Yamaha 4-stroke, 115 horsepower
engines. The beam was eight feet, six inches and the draft 31 inches.
T-top, live wells, VHF radio, GPS, and two depth finders completed
the package.>
