Aviation Patterns Over Vuecrest
It’s always good to know what’s going on in-and-around our neighborhood, but the sky above our neighborhood is very important too. A few planes are fun to watch, but too much noise pollution makes for very grumpy homeowners. Please join this upcoming town hall focused on Washington State’s aviation system. The virtual event will take place on Wednesday, October 13th at 6:00P. Here’s a letter from Congressman Adam Smith with all the details...
You can register for the event and live stream the event here https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fiqconnect.lmhostediq.com%2Fiqextranet%2FiqClickTrk.aspx%3F%26cid%3DWA09AS%26crop%3D15333.10114292.3836848.1233610%26report_id%3D%26redirect%3Dhttps%253a%252f%252fus02web.zoom.us%252fmeeting%252fregister%252ftZMsduyvqTksH9DsFgZDvGc42Usn68CnQomn%26redir_log%3D467060582508527&data=04%7C01%7C%7Cbaeb49239f674de12b5308d9851a541d%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637687170394412941%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=hUXmRDuci3alMICw8OeHwYuGzKLfSOt%2FqcjUdn5TkBM%3D&reserved=0.
Adam Smith will be moderating this event, with the support of special guests, Senator Keiser and Representative Orwall of Washington’s 33rd Legislative District.
Throughout this event, they will be answering your questions about our state’s aviation system, including noise mitigation, emission reduction and what’s happening at both the state and federal level to address these important issues.

Recruiting New Vuecrest Directors
We have six Vuecrest Directors that make the important decisions for our neighborhood. Each year, two new Directors are elected as two retire from their leadership roles. In addition, we have many committee members and chairs who assist our Directors. This three year rotating schedule with two Directors being elected each year is a great system. It allows a fair distribution of workload and the constant onboarding of fresh opinions and ideas.
The effort involved in these positions is generally 2-3 hours for our monthly meeting (now held remotely) and 2-3 hours per month answering emails, viewing properties, etc. If you are dedicated to the welfare of your community (as a whole) and your neighbors (as individuals), this may be a good place for you. You will be surrounded by HOA veterans who will teach you the ropes. No experience necessary.
Please contact directors@vuecrest.net mailto:directors@vuecrest.net with your questions and willingness to serve. Also, feel free to submit the name of a community member who you feel might be a good candidate who will be contacted to discuss the details of the opportunity. We look forward to working with you!
Dylan’s Neighborhood Food Drive Wed, Oct 6th at 4:00P
Dylan, a Junior in High School and one of our Vuecrest neighbors, will continue to pick up food donations the first Wednesday of each month to assist the Renewal Food Bank. Please text or call Dylan at 425.442.7385 for more information regarding a pickup at the end of your driveway.
