TRAILS AND ALES: TACO (AND TRAIL) TUESDAY!

ForeverGreen Trails (FGT) https://www.forevergreentrails.org/ invites all to Trails and Ales https://www.forevergreentrails.org/trails-ales on Tuesday, August 19th from 5-8 PM at Off Camber Brewing https://maps.app.goo.gl/yv9kdNcaQXx43qSy6. We will have a presentation on the City of Puyallup’s exciting Riverwalk Trail Phase 5 project which will fill in the long-awaited missing link in that facility near downtown. The Riverwalk Trail is part of an 18-mile trail loop (connecting Puyallup, Sumner, Pacific, Edgewood, Milton, and Fife) that FGT has been supporting the development of.

The event will also kick off FGT’s fund drive for the Riverwalk Trail project https://www.forevergreentrails.org/riverwalk-fund which will provide needed match funding for grants that Puyallup will apply for in 2026. Just as importantly, it also helps to show robust community support for the project, which is an important (and often ignored) criterion in competitive grant programs. FGT has successfully completed three such drives for local trail projects, each resulting in grant awards from $1M to $3M each and will share information about their proven strategy to support the buildout of our regional trail system. My Cousin Flaco Taco Truck will be on-site so you can make an evening of it with food and beverages!

Even if folks cannot make it to Trails and Ales, they can still donate to the fund drive https://www.forevergreentrails.org/riverwalk-fund. The first $5,000 will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous trail advocate. Please help FGT reach its $15,000 drive goal for the Puyallup Riverwalk Trail Phase 5!

ForeverGreen Trails supports the development of a unified system of trails throughout Pierce County, WA, via education, advocacy, promotion, and collaboration.
