Happy Easter!
Once again, the Covid pandemic restrictions have caused the cancellation of our annual Vuecrest Easter Egg Hunt. Let’s set our sights for 2022 and keep ourselves safe for next year. We wish everyone a very Happy Easter!
How Social are YOU?
You don’t have to be the life of the party to plan a celebration! If you like thinking outside the Covid-box, managing details, working both independently and with a fun group of Directors, this spot may have your name on it. We’re looking for a volunteer to take over the Social Chair position on the Vuecrest HOA Board. One or more people are welcome to coordinate this position together. Please email president@vuecrest.net mailto:president@vuecrest.net for more details, we’re excited to hear your good ideas!
Vuecrest Do-Gooders Discovered
Last month we reported on two exemplary humans who had shoveled a path all the way from our front door to our driveway during one of the heavy snow days. Well, our sleuth network has discovered that those Do-Gooders are our very own neighbors, Mara and David Pitkethly! With a borrowed snow shovel, they used their muscles and kind hearts to spread help and happiness around the neighborhood. Thanks Mara and David!
Any Remodeling or Exterior Changes Planned for 2021?
Have you been trapped inside all winter planning to make some great changes to your home? If so, you may want to check with the Vuecrest Architectural Director, Rob DeRider at architecture@vuecrest.net mailto:architecture@vuecrest.net before getting started, just to be sure that your new exterior pink-polka-dot paint scheme will coordinate with the neighborhood CC&R’s. Also, the City of Bellevue says you may need a city review and/or permit if you’re planning any one of the following:
Adding new square footage to your existing home
Altering a load bearing wall
Relocating, adding or increasing the structural load on a structural beam, column or footing
Adding a second kitchen
Adding or widening a window or door in an exterior wall
Adding any new heated space, such as converting a garage into a room
Installing, repairing, replacing or enlarging a deck where the highest walking surface is more than 30 inches above the ground.
Building a garage or carport
Performing an earthquake home retrofit
Installing, removing or replacing a driveway
