Subject: [NCL Members] COABE Capitol Hill Day and Adult Ed and Family Literacy Week

Hello everyone!

As you are likely aware, here at the COABE office plans are under way to hold our second Capitol Hill Day this year on September 28th! This event falls within the national Adult Ed and Family Literacy Week, and we are delighted to share that between our two Capitol Hill Day events, we will have representation from all 50 states.

Many of our state associations (34 at the moment) as well as a cohort of state directors will be present. We wanted to extend an invitation to all NCL members that are planning to be in DC for the NCL awards event on the evening of 9/28. We hope that you will consider arriving early so that you too can reach out to legislators and their staffers as we all attempt to shine a light on adult education. I would be glad to share details about our prep webinar that will be held on 9/13 for participants and much more!
