Hi all
I got an email from SAPL about the services offered this summer including craft kits for kids. It occurred to me that newer neighbors might not realize that as Bexar County residents, we can get library cards and services from the San Antonio Public Library. You might get a question about the Boerne zip but just explain and it will get resolved. There are online services so you don't necessarily need to go to a physical library.
My daughter was the teen and children's librarian at Carver before she moved. I try to donate books there and would always be happy to accept books to take, all ages including adult. The poorer libraries always have a great need for donations. I can tell you that her library was a gathering place and often a safe haven. She had an active group of teen volunteers, not to get service credits but because they needed a place to be nurtured and to feel they were contributing.
Any time you have donations please feel free to drop them off at 9014 Woodland Trace.
Enjoy your summer!
