To All Cruising Fleet Racers -
Sometimes things just come together at Nyack Boat Club. Our normal Wednesday
Night was a Fun race last night. PRO Eric Kent, with the help of Howie
Rinehart and Bill Gillooly chose course #19 with reaching legs. The wind
held, no storms appeared, kids took the helm, and everyone seemed to have a
good time. Welcome to new racer Art Cassidy. Once again cheers to Howie for
providing the Race Committee boat. Thank you!
After racing, the Club was alive as everyone waited for the fireworks to
begin. No one was disappointed watching the displays from Nyack, Ossining,
Tarrytown, Irvington, and Sleepy Hollow (to name a few) - not to be out done
by Mother Nature and a huge electrical storm to the north. When the storm
finally moved southeast missing Nyack, the full moon was high in the sky and
awesome.
Don't forget the Guy Moulton 4th of July Regatta this weekend. With a little
bit of luck it will be cooler on the water than on the land, we'll have a
lovely breeze fill in from the south, and no thunderstorms will appear.
See you on the water.
