We thinned irises at my farm and after the family getting what they wanted I have several left. They are in a feed sack in the front yard and anyone is welcome to them. They bloom in the spring with a beautiful purple flower and are low/no maintenance. Thin them every few years as they spread but very slowly. They love sun and heat so put them where they get both. A little water once in a while is all they need. They will be in the yard until Friday morning when I will take any leftovers to my sister's neighborhood. If they happen to all be gone and you want some let me know. My sister-in-law has some that could stand to be thinned also.
