Environmental Partners:

We invite you to attend the second annual South Sound Sustainability Expo.

This event will be hosted at the University of Puget Sound Fieldhouse on Saturday, February 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The Expo was planned and is being hosted collaboratively by Pierce County higher education institutions.

Excess of 70 organizations already are committed to exhibit at the Expo, including colleges organizing the event, City of Tacoma Departments, environmental advocacy and working groups, and agencies and businesses working in the realms of food, transportation, nature, recreation, alternative energy, community support, clean air and water, and recycling.  You probably know many of the exhibitors.

Attached are a poster and event summary/schedule.  Share this information at your place of business, with other sustainability partners, and individuals who could learn from this Expo experience.

We need your help promoting this event between now and February 21 to bring new people on board with sustainability.  We must extend our passion and environmental awareness to a broader public to achieve our objectives.  This is a great opportunity to do so with many sustainability partners working together in one space.

If anyone is interested in joining as an exhibitor, they should contact Rachel Cardwell, Puget Sound's Community Engagement Manager, asap at rcardwell@ups.edu or 879-3530.

We hope you all can participate in some or all Expo activities.

John
