Kevin,

Another boat you might consider is the new PDQ 41  Powercat.  At the PDQ
get-together in Annapolis last month, Rob Poirier  gave a presentation on this
newest model -- which they expect to launch  next spring. A major feature of the
41 is a full-height owner's stateroom  with an island queen size bed. Beam is
18', draft 3', power is twin  160's, expected cruise speed is 16-18 knots.
The design  has been completely computerized to allow presicion cad-cam
fabication of  most components.  It promises to be an awesome powercat -- a big step
up  from the 34. With your time frame, this boat should be well proven by the
time  you're ready.

Of all  the power cats we've looked at so far, the Endeavour 40 and 44
models seem  to be our early favorites.  They offer an island bed in the
master  cabin, good size heads, nice galley, and enough amenities and
living space  for us to be very comfortable. More importantly, the prices
for the  Endeavors are in the ball park as far as the budget  is
concerned.

Henry, do you have any information you can share with the List about
the new PDQ 45 Powercat that also is in the works, after the 41?

Rob Poirier won't tell me nothing (double negative for emphasis) as
he knows I'm a working journalist.
