I wholeheartedly agree. I think most people would be amazed to discover
how little power is actually needed for a household.
Our backup power division has developed a rule of thumb that an average
household needs about 2.5 Kw hours per day.
This is the number used to estimate and size a system.
For those people who do stay longer in one place, running some sort of
engine for a minimum number of hours does become a necessity.
That should be the focus of the next generation of power sources.
