We have a flybridge on our 1994 42' Zeta planing powercat. The vessel has a
large and easily accessible cockpit (back porch). We hardly ever use the
flybridge. One reason is that the motion underway, at planing speeds, is much
more pleasant below. We are in the PNW (Victoria).
Would folks not consider that the Endeavour catamaran series (36 & 44)
effectively have a flybridge that is lower down with a more protected
steering station. Whilst this is not a flybridge per se, it
effectively serves the same purpose - you can be outside if you want to
with the protective curtains drawn up or protected from the weather if
need be. It is easily accessible to the salon and to the transom.
