Seeking Visual Artists for ArtRageous Zones at Auburn's Summer Festivals and Events

Seeking talented and creative teaching artists to lead art making activities at the variety of City of Auburn summer festivals and events in 2015.

Compensation is an hourly wage ($40/hour) and calculated by length of festival/event plus 2-4 hours preparation time ($25/hour).  Supply budget is provided in addition and based upon type of project and size of expected audience.  Selected artist will work with staff to determine final project and supply budget. One volunteer or staff assistant is provided at each event as an “artist assistant” and all tables, chairs and canopy provided.

Festivals (large scale festivals with 10,000 - 15,000 Estimated Attendance)
Seeking 4 artists at each of these large scale festivals
□ Petpalooza, Saturday, May 16, 10 am - 5 pm, Game Farm Park (pet themed projects encouraged!)
□ Kids Day, Friday, June 19, 11 -4 pm,  Les Gove Park (Families and school-aged kids)

Park Programs (200- 600 Estimated attendance)
Seeking 1 artist for each event

  •     Kids Summer Stage, Wednesdays, July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29, August 5 and August 12, 11 -2 pm, Les Gove Park (Kids ages 2-5)
    
  •     Summer Sounds and Cinema (Family audiences)
    

o    Friday, July 31, 6-8:30pm at Lea Hill

o    Friday, Aug. 7, 6-8:30pm at Sunset Park

o    Friday, Aug. 14, 6-8:30pm at Les Gove Park

  •     Farmers Market Kids Day, Sunday, July 26, 10 - 3 pm, Sound Transit Plaza (All Ages)
