Greetings Colleagues,
See the message below from Interim Executive Director Loretta Parham concerning a request to participate in the National AI Literacy in Libraries Study. Share broadly with your network.
LaTasha
A request for HBCU library staff/faculty to participate in a national literacy survey was received from the president of ACRL (Association of College and Research Libraries), Dr. Leo Lo of the University of New Mexico.
I encourage your participation in this survey, and hope that you see it as another opportunity for the voices and experiences of our libraries to be shared. Reading and completing professional surveys can also advance our professional learning.
This is the third iteration of a national study on AI (artificial intelligence) literacy in the U.S. library workforce.
The purpose of this study is to build a comprehensive, cross-sector benchmark of how library workers are engaging with AI, so that future professional development, funding, and policy decisions can be informed by data that reflects the diversity of our field.
Survey Respondent Eligibility:
Currently employed in any U.S. library (academic, public, school, government, special, or tribal)
Age 18 or older
The survey is anonymous and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It will remain open until August 25, 2025.
