Canadian Regulations Re disconnecting MSD discharge piping

We plan to do extensive cruising this summer in Canada and have seen conflicting information about what modifications if any are required to the through hull fittings from our MSD holding tank. Our set up is similar to Transport Canada's Option 2 in Section 124 of Appendix 2 - Sewage Holding Tank Systems (overboard discharge fitting after the holding tank). The only difference is that we have a macerator pump that takes suction from the holding tank, and we do not have a Y-valve (or if we do it is not readily accessable and I have never used it). The Information Notes reads: " Any overboard discharge as shown in options 2,3 and 4 will have to be disconnected and blanked before entering the waters of Ontario." I find it hard to believe that Loopers would actually disconnect any of this nasty piping before entering Canadiabn waters. Does anyone have any definitive information for me on this issue? Joe
