Assessments & Survey ResultsThanks to all who paid their assessments promptly. Due to a delay in mailing, a grace period has been provided for those who received a late statement. The new deadline for payment without penalty is February 17th. The proposals to allow artificial turf lawns and standing-seam metal roofs in Vuecrest did not pass. Each received less than 8% member support.
Keep Vuecrest BeautifulMany of the community plum trees planted in the 1950s have reached their life's end. Mature trees that have been neglected or severely pruned do not enhance property values. In these cases, removal of the tree and stump is advised. For those who wish to replant, the closest match to the original species available today in nurseries is the Thundercloud purple leaf plum.
Keep Vuecrest SafeA unwritten, yet longstanding rule in Vuecrest is not parking resident vehicles on the street. Parking cars in your garage or driveway reduces nighttime car prowls and helps keep our pedestrians safe. Thank you for your cooperation.
Keep Pets SafeSightings of coyotes continue in Vuecrest. Just a reminder, pets that roam freely in the neighborhood are at greatest risk, especially if they are let out at night.
Coffee with a CopJoin your neighbors and police officers on Wednesday, February 18th between 8 and 10am at Top Pot Doughnuts in Bellevue for coffee and conversation. This is a special opportunity to ask questions and voice concerns with our local police.
Monthly Board MeetingsThe next Board meeting will be held by Cherie Lang and Paul Danis (9837 Belfair Road) on Thursday, March 5th at 7pm. Vuecrest residents are always welcome to attend.
Save the Date Put a note on your calendar that Saturday, March 28th is our Spring Egg Hunt for families in Vuecrest. Children of all ages are welcome! Details will follow in next month's newsletter.
