Thanks for this info Gary. I just checked the Maine Cat site and they
have not posted any photos of your new boat. Can you post some photos
for us
to peruse.

COMMENT,

I do not know how to post fotos on this site and do not
have another place to do it.  I do know that MAINECAT had Billy Black, a
commercial boat/marine photographer take some fotos of the exterior, interior
and while underway.  The last were takeen a few days ago in NEWPORT and I
expect MAINECAT will soon be updating their website with these fotos.

hi gary,

are you guys about to tackle the hudson river?  here in maine i'm fast losing
my florida tan.  could've saved money on sun glasses, too!

forecast is for it to hit about 60 F today and tomorrow with pelting rain.
hope you're doing better.

was at maine cat thursday and dick has promised to put the metal to the pedal
and give me schedules early next week.  lot to do and things don't look too
busy.  had a good session with ted ripley the carpenter.  he's moving ahead
and had our downstairs cabinetry reading for us to inspect. good news for dick
is he got an order for a new 41' sailcat to be started in a month or two.

how have your adventures in commissioning been going?  are the immediate
problems all solved?  dick mentioned you called after seeing more water in the
bilges.  too tell the truth i've never had a boat - packing gland or not -
that didn't have some water in the bilge.  i looked at our boat with dick and
we came to the conclusion that the fine, canoe stern makes it more difficult
to deeply bed the shaft stern well.  there just ain't that much fiberglass at
that point.

i don't know if you're planning to haul the boat when you get to WI but it
would be real interesting to see what is written on your prop.  i wonder if
whatever you have on there with a bit less pitch would fit the bill for us?
only difference would be that our boat, since we're liveabourds, will be a bit
heavier.
