Happy Friday and the start to a weekend of remembrance, celebration and thanks.

The BODs want to wish each of you a happy and safe Independence Day.

Like many of you, we will be spending July 4th with family and friends  reflecting on the many ways we are thankful to live in this great country.

Beginning with the pilgrims in 1620, who fled religious persecution in England, our country has defended the right to be a free people.

Our Declaration of Independence states..."we hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal.....  that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights....that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

President Ronald Reagan said...”Freedom is never more than one generation from extinction.  We didn’t pass it to our children in our bloodstream.  It must be fought for, protected and handed on for them to do the same.”

This July 4th, as we celebrate our freedom with flying flags (I love this), BBQs and fireworks, let's be reminded of the price that was paid on our behalf.  The price of freedom comes with a cost.  I am so proud to live in a community with so much pride for our military.

Take time this week to personally thank those in our neighborhood that make daily sacrifices to fight for and protect our freedom.  We have so many that have served or currently serving in the military.

Reid, Greg and myself want to personally thank you for your sacrifice to ensure we continue to have freedom. Whether a Veteran, serving in the Reserves or National Guard or Active Duty, you and your families are honored.
We are a great nation.  A great people and a great community.  We are so blessed.

Have a safe and fantastic holiday.  Enjoy the block parties.  Most importantly make memories this weekend with family and friends.
