Dear IMLA Fellows:
IMLA is committed to providing information of interest to our members. We are interested in materials that would lend themselves to webinars (typically 1-hour programs) and/or articles in Municipal Lawyer magazine. For Municipal Lawyer, we are looking for either:
"Practice Tips" - an outline or list of items (we are publishing "Do's and Don'ts in the Interviewing Process" in the upcoming issue). Practice Tips are between 800 and 1200 words.
Feature Articles-a more thorough discussion, including endnotes. Articles are between 3500 and 5000 words.
Subjects for webinars or articles include a wide range of issues likely to be valuable to municipal attorneys in their practice:
Adult Businesses
Bankruptcy
Constitutional Law
Contracts
Elections
Employment
Environment
Ethics
Finance
Guns
Immunity
Insurance
Jails
Land Use
Open Meetings
Ordinances
Marijuana
Police
Schools
Taxation
Telecommunications
Zoning
And many more.
If you have written an article on any of these matters, or would be interested in doing so - or you would like to participate in a webinar on the subject, we'd like to hear from you.
Thank you.
