Dear all,
The 21 boats that started had an interesting and probably frustrating night.
Winds were from about 7kts to 0kts and that depended where you were on the
course.
Thanks to RC for getting another race off and for staying on station to
record finishes.
Now the fun part.
According to the Sailing Instructions:
6 STARTING DIVISIONS; FLAGS and STREAMERS
There will be starts for two Keelboat Divisions.
These divisions are defined as Spinnaker Keel and Non-Spinnaker Keel.
12 TIME LIMIT
The time limit for a Wednesday Night race shall be two hours from each
Division’s starting signal. If no boat in that division completes the race
within the two-hour limit, the race shall be abandoned. However, if any boat
of the division completes the race within the two hour time limit, all other
boats have 30 minutes from the time of the first finisher to complete the
course, or the two hour time limit, and whichever is longer. Failure to
complete the course within these time limits will be scored DNF. This
changes RRS 35.
In both Spinnaker and Non-Spinnaker Divisions the first boats crossed the
line within 90 minutes of the start so the time-limit defined above is 2
hours.
I have included all finish times and indicated in the notes which boats will
be scored DNF.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Eric
