Kevin, Bridge clearance on the Champlain Canal is normally 17 feet. This is the railroad bridge at Whitehall. The rail road bridge at Mechanicville has a clearance of 15 feet but can be increased to 17 feet by calling Lock 3 at 518 664 5171. When we came through there 2 years ago, I checked with the lock tender who replied  "it was 17'2" this morning....you should be ok."
