Winter Harbor Marina

Just arrived at Winter Harbor Marina (Erie Canal, just west of Oneida
Lake) this afternoon and will overnight here.  Great place!  Over the years
I have stopped here quite a few times, and when I had mechanical problems
they always took real good care of me.

The fresh water pressure accumulator died the other day so now my water
faucet goes squirt squirt squirt ... sorta like milking a cow ... kinda sad
but functional.  The folks at Winter Harbor just ordered me a new one which
will be here by 9 tomorrow morning ... and slightly cheaper than west
marine.  It's a 10 minute install, so I'll put it in myself at the next
port.

Tomorrow after the part arrives, I'll cruise west to the village of Clyde
... not much of a town, but they do have electric and it's been real cold
out here lately.  And Thursday morning I will arrive in Fairport,
everybody's favorite stop.

Friday is my birthday and also the start of Fairport's Canal Days
celebration ... so there will be rides, vendors, and other entertainment
all weekend.  I told my friends the celebration is for my birthday, of
course.

And the girlfriend arrives by car Friday and will join me for a cruise
farther west for a week or so.  Says she is bringing meatloaf and pork
tenderloin and some other yummy stuff.

Yes, life is good.
