Dear Tacoma Artists,

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for local artists to
showcase their work as part of the Canvas Art Collective, a new initiative
proudly presented by Energize Tacoma. This collective aims to celebrate and
support Tacoma's vibrant artistic community by creating a shared space
where diverse talents can be displayed and appreciated.

About Canvas Art Collective:

Canvas Art Collective embodies the essence of a shared artistic space. It
symbolizes collaboration, creativity, and the rich tradition of visual art.
Our goal is to bring together a diverse array of artworks that represent
the unique voices and visions of Tacoma's local artists.

What We're Looking For:

  • Wall Art: We are seeking wall art pieces in various styles and mediums to
    be displayed throughout the studio.

  • Permanent Exhibition: Unlike rotating exhibitions, all selected pieces
will be part of a permanent collective display, providing long-term
    exposure for the artists.

  • High Visibility: Your artwork will be prominently featured in the
high-traffic Painting Panda Pottery Studio, which welcomes hundreds of
visitors each week, offering significant opportunities for exposure and
    sales.

  • Extended Display: Artwork will remain on display until it is sold or
until the artist decides to reclaim it.

Benefits:

  • Sales Opportunities: Artists will retain the majority of the proceeds
from any artwork sold. Sales will be cash only from buyers.

  • Nominal Wall Fee: A small fee of 10% of the sale price will be charged to
cover administrative costs and ensure the smooth operation of the
    collective.

  • Community Engagement: Be a part of a dynamic community of artists and
engage with art enthusiasts and potential buyers.

Selection Process:

  • Steering Committee: Artwork will be selected by our steering committee.
Due to limited space, not every piece or artist can be displayed.

  • Notification: If chosen, we will send you an email stating which of your
    pieces have been selected.

Submission Guidelines:

If you're interested in joining the Canvas Art Collective, please submit
the following:

  1. Artist Statement or Bio: A brief description of yourself and your
    artistic journey.

  2. Images of Artwork: High-quality images of your wall art pieces
    (preferably in JPEG format).

  3. Portfolio Links: Any relevant social media or online portfolio links.

Please email your submissions to mailto:energizetacoma@gmail.com
energizetacoma@gmail.com by June 21, 2024 midnight.

Please Note: Space is limited, and the work you submit should be artwork
that you are willing to have stationary in one place for a long time.

Join us in creating a vibrant, collective art space that celebrates the
rich tapestry of Tacoma's artistic talent. We look forward to receiving
your submissions and collaborating with you to enrich our community through
art.

Warm regards,

Herschel Wilson
