Greg, is that legit? I received it from a friend who said she received it from a friend in an email. However, the screen shots she sent me are from a FB post, not an email. And the same info is not posted on the SAWs FB page. There was a message circulating the other day stating it was from CPS, and a short time later CPS posted that it was not from them.

Just wondering the validity of the message from SAWs.

An acquaintance in Fair Oaks received the note below from Jamie Castillo, SAWS VP Operations Support. For us engineers, it is a sensible explanation but, of course, not what we want to hear. Basically is says the water is still spilling out of the system faster than they can put it in so they cannot lift it up high enough to get to us.
"We are faced with a multi-dimensional problem in getting water restored in Fair Oaks, which is at a high elevation relative to the rest of our system. With this wide of an area outage and rolling blackouts, we have to proceed moving up through elevations.
Unfortunately, I do not have a timeline for return of service. The number of homes with broken pipes is preventing us from being able to build the necessary pressure to push water uphill. To put this in perspective - in some parts of town we are pumping more water today than the highest demand days of the summer. That means there are likely hundreds, if not thousands, of water leaks on private property throughout our system."

SAWS now has a webpage devoted to the water outage in the Fair Oaks area (with a message similar to the one below):  https://www.saws.org/fair-oaks-water-outage-update/

It does not sound encouraging in any way, but at least there is somewhere we can go to get the latest straight from SAWS.  Comparing the current water outage map to the last one they posted, it looks like more areas are without water, and no outage areas have had their water restored.  In other words the pink areas depicting outages are growing, not shrinking.

LSR,
Just heard from the GM at Waste Connections.  They are not running any operations tomorrow out of San Antonio. On Friday they will pick up the HOA and service both trash and recycling combined.  They will go into the same truck and dumped as trash. Next week will resume our normal Thursday schedule.

Stay warm and safe.

Why do they continue to say it is homeowners broken pipes and not theirs? Pretty sure it is both.  They aren?t even acknowledging that any of this is because of a problem on their end.  Mind blowing.

Thanks for sharing the information.

SAWS now has a webpage devoted to the water outage in the Fair Oaks area (with a message similar to the one below): https://www.saws.org/fair-oaks-water-outage-update/ It does not sound encouraging in any way, but at least there is somewhere we can go to get the latest straight from SAWS. Comparing the current water outage map to the last one they posted, it looks like more areas are without water, and no outage areas have had their water restored. In other words the pink areas depicting outages are growing, not shrinking. www.akerman.com CONFIDENTIALITY NOTE: The information contained in this transmission may be privileged and confidential, and is intended only for the use of the individual or entity named above. LSR,
Just heard from the GM at Waste Connections.  They are not running any operations tomorrow out of San Antonio. On Friday they will pick up the HOA and service both trash and recycling combined.  They will go into the same truck and dumped as trash. Next week will resume our normal Thursday schedule.

Stay warm and safe.

Why do they continue to say it is homeowners broken pipes and not theirs? Pretty sure it is both.  They aren?t even acknowledging that any of this is because of a problem on their end.  Mind blowing.

Thanks for sharing the information.

Looks like saws made an official statement on our water situation.  Sunday or Monday... https://www.saws.org/water-outage-map/ Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android On Thu, Feb 18, 2021 at 4:17 PM, danya.blair--- via Discussion<discussion@lists.limestoneranchhoa.com> wrote: SAWS now has a webpage devoted to the water outage in the Fair Oaks area (with a message similar to the one below):  https://www.saws.org/fair-oaks-water-outage-update/ It does not sound encouraging in any way, but at least there is somewhere we can go to get the latest straight from SAWS.
