You are invited to experience a new exhibit of work by artist Alex Kennedy. The exhibit can be viewed during TCC Gig Harbor open hourshttps://www.tacomacc.edu/about/campuses/gig-harbor-campus/gig-harbor-campus.

San Francisco-born Chinese-American artist Kennedy currently lives in Tacoma, Washington. He began painting in 2010 after undergoing brain surgery to help mitigate the symptoms of a condition called “Arnold Chiari Malformation.”

“I decided to pursue painting in order to explore and overcome my illness through process-driven work. Specifically, I used a process of pouring and manipulating pools of acrylic paint,” said Kennedy in his artist’s statement. “Illness has often left me with a loss for words and it is my hope these paintings will speak for those words I struggle to find.”
