Good Day Loopers,
I am looking to buy a new tablet for use on the boat. My understanding is
that some of them need sell service to get allocation.
However, if I am crossing to the Bahamas is there one that has an internal
GPS so that I can use this tablet as backup navigation.

Therefore, my question is iPad verses Android and which do you recommend?

Sorry if this was a recent question that I missed.

David

Nice to hear from you
I have a iPad 2 with wifi and cell service.  Only buy the version that has a cell chip because that one has a real  gps chip.  Good NAV apps are available on iPad.  Try Garmin Bluechart.  App is free and maps cost under $50 for North America and Bahamas.
