The annual spring sale held by Central Puget Sound chapter of Washington
Native Plant Society will be on Saturday, May 9, 10-4, at Bellevue
Botanical Garden, 12001 Main Street, Bellevue, 98005.
We'll have thousands of plants, and hundreds of species native to
Washington, including wildflowers, ferns, grasses, sedges, shrubs, &
trees. Maybe even some mosses! A list of species will be posted at
wnps@wnps.org by late April.
As always, we also offer a large selection of books on botany, native
and invasive plants, fungi, insects, birds, and other intriguing topics.
Since we aren't required to charge sales tax at this fundraiser,
shoppers are able to buy for less.
We make an effort to get a dozen or so of the best native-plant experts
around to answer questions and to help choose the right plants for each
customer's particular location.
We'll have a holding station (gratis), so you don't have to drag around
all your acquisitions while you shop. Please bring your own trays or boxes.
Come early for best selection (there will be a lineup by the time the
sale opens), or come after 11:30 if you wish to avoid the crowd.
Cash, check or Visa/Mastercard accepted. This sale is the largest single
source of funding for the educational programs of the chapter. WNPS is a
501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
