Official Counter: Jeff Schultz

Observers:        Calvin Brennan, Dave Mendus, Matt Pety

Visitors:
Charlene Borchers
Julie Craves
Darrin O'Brien
Tim Smart
Pat Mulawa

Weather:
Today again saw mostly sunny conditions with a mix of cloud over the course
of the day. Winds were generally light throughout the day, starting in the
northeast and making their way around to the southeast by early afternoon.

Raptor Observations:
The flight was very much similar to yesterday in number and composition and
highlighted by the first Merlin of the season. Much of the movement was to
the north of the count area, typical given the wind direction. Harriers
continued to be one of the most numerous species recorded along with what
seems to be a substantial early season movement of juvenile Red-tails.

Non-raptor Observations:
Although no estimate was attempted, Monarchs moved through at a continuous
pace all day long so most of numbered in the high hundreds
conservatively.
