National Coalition for Literacy Discussion List
View all threadsAttached is the newly released report from the Council of Economic Advisors.
As is no surprise it basically states that they feel the investments in work training programs are not working relative to what is spent on them. It supports the new administration position of investing in apprenticeship programs. The reports and data selected is biased and some of the data is questionable from a research perspective.
The general sense of the work training community seems to be to not overreact to it but share some of the better reports ( including our own GAO report) that shows the benefits.
Anything that the Coalition and members can do to continue and add to that process would be beneficial.
