Adult FRANKLINS GULL. - Short Beach Stratford

6/6. Stratford, Short Beach ($20 fee for non-residents) - adult FRANKLINS GULL in breeding plumage on beach now 12:35; has been for about an hour.
Among flock of gulls roosting in front of child’s playground.

In looking through my photos of the Short Beach gull flock yesterday (June 5, 2024), I just realized I photographed this same adult FRANKLIN’S GULL. I’ll edit my EBird list to include a photo.

Franklin’s Gull relocated 5:15pm out on tidal sandbar off Short Beach.
Scope needed. Viewed from here:

(41.1626054, -73.1093433)

It is to S (right) of stone turret, and next to a partially buried tire in the sand. Light rain starting to fall now.
