Hello Gators,

Spring is coming… Officially at 6:45pm on
Friday!  So ignore the snow that may be
falling when it happens and think ahead to April and getting outside for our
group workouts!  And get creative with
your own workouts and contribute to our “Gatorfitti Art Show”!

Quick note about tonight… In keeping with the
theme of this week’s “Recommended” podcasts, if you have not seen the promos,
there is a brief nutrition seminar at 7:30pm tonight at the Y focusing on
protein.  I know… You’re probably thinking
“Wow, I’d like to attend both the protein seminar AND tonight’s tri club bike
trainer workout (Room 1 off of the main lobby) that will feature amazing videos,
a fantastic workout led by Danny, and camaraderie with your fellow club members.”  Well, don’t worry, our ride starts at 7:45pm
and if you are a few minutes late, you can still get in most of the 1:45 ride.  See you there!

New Member Survey: Watch your
inbox for a new member survey coming your way by this weekend.  We’d like your input on a few topics
including our workout schedule and a possible Gator training camp weekend.

Gatorfitti Art Show: Now that the
weather is slowly turning in the right direction, we’d like to see your art (and writing) skills.  So get out and create a GPS masterpiece or two for display in the Gator Gallery of Fine Art!  I’m sure we have some G.P. Escher’s out
there!  All you have to do is find some
open space, map out a picture or word/phrase, and run or walk the route (extra
credit if you can manage it on a bike or in the water or in a single line Etch-A-Sketch style)… Your GPS device will do
the rest!  And this is a perfect way to
involve your family, too!  Send in your
work and we’ll add it to the gallery.  If
you need any help on the technical part of how to do it, let me know (but the
creativity and execution are up to you).

About A Gator: So which
Gator was a “triathlete” in basketball/softball/volleyball before switching
over to swim/bike/run?  Find out in this
week’s edition of About A Gator!
