Save the Date: Vuecrest Annual Meeting, Tuesday, November 19th
Make a Difference!
As we plan for the Community Association Annual Meeting on November 19th we’re looking for a few neighbors to run for upcoming vacancies on the Vuecrest HOA Board as terms are completed this year. We also have potential slots for Committee Chairs.
The effort involved in these positions is generally 3 hours for our monthly meeting and 2-3 hours per month answering emails, viewing properties, etc. If you are dedicated to the welfare of your community (as a whole) and your neighbors (as individuals), this may be a good place for you. You will be surrounded by HOA veterans who will teach you the ropes.
Please contact directors@vuecrest.net mailto:directors@vuecrest.net with your questions and willingness to serve. Also, feel free to submit the name of a community member who you feel might be a good candidate who will be contacted to discuss the details of the opportunity. We look forward to working with you!

New Apartment Building Adjacent to Vuecrest
Ed Linardie with LDG Architects for Pinnacle International came to the Vuecrest community as a representative of the new developments going up adjacent to Vuecrest. Pinnacle International owns the property on which the small gray house North of the Lux Apartments currently exists, the Le Chateau Apartments, and the QFC and Bartell property. Their development plans are scheduled in three phases as follows:
Phase One – A 104 unit apartment building with 100 parking spaces will be erected North of the Lux Apartments. The entry and exit for this building will be off of 100th Street. All garbage, loading & unloading is planned to take place inside the building’s lower level garage. It will be a six-story midrise with one and two bedroom apartments from 700-1000 square feet. The street will be widened. There will be no cut outs for pull ins. They are still in the planning stages and scheduled to be approximately 1½ to 2 years before they break ground. The construction phase will be 1½ years. Although, it will be only six stories, the building will sit higher than the Lux Apartments because of the original grade.
Phase Two – A ten-story building is planned to take the place of the Le Chateau apartments.
Phase Three – Two twenty-three story high rise buildings are planned to take the place of the current QFC and Bartells. QFC and Bartells will be relocated to the first floor of the new buildings.
Regarding questions pertaining directly to the Pinnacle Multi-family project (file #19-119784-LD: There is a Public Meeting scheduled. The purpose of the informational Public Meeting is for the applicant to present the project to the public and for the public to provide comments regarding the proposal. The comments made at the meeting will help inform our review of the proposal. Responses to the comments received will be provided in the final decision staff report.
The Public Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 8th from 6:30 PM to 8 PM in City of Bellevue Conference Room 1E-112.
Vuecrest Halloween Protocol
On October 31st Vuecrest will be invaded by all sorts of fasinating creatures from magical fairies to super heros, princesses, scarey goblins and more! We are a popular Halloween neighborhood so be ready to entertain a sizeable group of “trick or treaters”. Most of us buy the over 200 piece treat selections! As always the safety of these little ones is an important consideration so please allow your guests to park in your driveway or off-site and not on the street which may otherwise expose walkers to traffic. Also, remember to pass by any homes that are not showing "welcome lights" as they may be opting out of the festivities. We encourage you to take extra precautions and drive safely. Please report any non-festive activities to blockwatch@vuecrest.net mailto:blockwatch@vuecrest.net.
NOW is the best time to Trim View Blocking Trees
The rule of thumb is to limit tree growth to the top of your eaves. (Please note – this does not apply to view blocking or other vegetation whose standard is prescribed by our CC&Rs.) Our community founders carefully developed our community to maximize views – let’s work together and insure we all benefit. There’s a reason why the neighborhood is called VIEW-CREST. A big thank-you to everyone!

Dates are subject to change. Please use the emails below to check dates and reconfirm meeting locations. This month the meeting is planned at Joy’s house at 9600 Evergreen Dr (entrance off of 95th).
October 7th: The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides. a shocking psychological thriller of a woman's act of violence against her husband―and of the therapist obsessed with uncovering her motive. This sophisticated debut suspense novel is every bit deserving of the effusive early praise it’s already receiving. Reading more like a character study than a psychological thriller, THE SILENT PATIENT is a maze-like exploration of the psyches of its' main character.
Nov 4th: The Woman Who Smashed Codes by Jason Fagone to be held at Mara's @ 7:00PM. This book is one of these amazing American origin stories. A hundred years ago, a young woman in her early twenties suddenly became one of the greatest code breakers in the country.
Vuecrest has its own Book Club and all residents are welcome to attend. We meet once a month at 7PM, usually on the first Monday at various members’ homes. It is a very relaxed atmosphere with light refreshments served. Feel free to join us to chat, laugh, nibble and meet new friends. Newcomers are always welcome whether you had a chance to read the book or not!
