I agree that Rosepoint Nav's Coastal Explorer is an excellent alternative to the more expensive traditional programs. I have been using it over a year and am extremely pleased with it. It will read almost any type chart that you show it. It's developer is a former Microsoft type and is a boater himself. Try the free demo, you will be impressed!
