01/11/15 - New Milford, Candlelight Farm -- I had a flock of about 20
Common Redpolls swarming a birch tree.

01/11/15 - West Hartford, MDC Reservoir #6 -- 9:30 AM; Snow Goose
continues at north end of Reservoir #6 off Route 44.

01/11/15 - Rocky Hill, Rocky Hill Meadows -- at least 400 HORNED LARK
(high count) and LAPLAND LONGSPUR.

01/11/15 - Greenwich, Grass Island -- around 10 AM; 1 Redhead, Lesser
Scaup.

scattered flock of Common Goldeneyes and Long-tailed Ducks).

01/11/15 - Prospect -- 2 Common Raven on top of Long River Middle
School, eating something.

01/11/15 - Haddam, Haddam Meadows State Park -- One Northern Shrike at
3:30 PM.

01/11/15 - Fairfield -- 12:05; adult male COMMON EIDER off of Pine
Creek Beach. It was very likely also viewable from Sunken Island, and
in fact might have been more easily seen from that location.

01/11/15 - Fairfield, Fairfield Metro Conservation Area -- 2 PEREGRINE
FALCON, 2 AMERICAN PIPIT.
Pine Creek Beach -- 12:05; adult male COMMON EIDER off the beach. It
was very likely also viewable from Sunken Island, and in fact might
have been more easily seen from that location.
Sunken Island -- The COMMON EIDER was also seen here (better views
than Pine Creek Beach; seen with Aidan and Erika Kiley) as well as 1
flyby RED-NECKED GREBE.
Jennings Beach -- 2 REDHEAD (male/female), seen extremely well (in the
company of a flock of Greater Scaup and Bufflehead).

From Doug Beach:
01/11/15 - South Windsor, South side of Vibert Road -- 4:00 PM; at
least one Snow Bunting (in a very large flock of Horned Larks).

From Robert Dixon and 10 other birders:
01/11/15 - Central Village, Quinebaug Fish Hatchery -- Sunday walk
highlights included WILSON'S SNIPE, SWAMP SPARROW (2).
Sterling yard -- (with the birding group after the walk) female
YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER.
Central Village, Quinebaug Fish Hatchery -- Return trip in the
afternoon with Tim Thompson -- WILSON'S SNIPE (3), WINTER WREN, BROWN
CREEPER, YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER, SWAMP SPARROW (3).

other ducks.

01/11/15 - East Haven, Foxon area -- 10:15 AM; constant Common Raven
calling with crows.

01/11/15 - Colchester, yard -- 7:15 to 10 AM; Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
(2 this morning), 4 Rusty Blackbirds, for the fourth day in a row.
Also Brown Creeper.
