Ralph,

Once again thank you, the information has been very helpful.

We are presently looking for a used boat, but if we don't find the right boat
and riht price we may consider new.

Chuck

I believe, Chuck, that you mentioned PDQ 34 and Maryland 37 were also
on your short list. It may be interesing to hear how you currently
rate the three candidates, the third being the Endeavour 36.

Share your thoughts with us, if you will.

Chuck,

Good luck with your search. You probably already know, but just in case you don't, Endeavour maintains a used boat listing on its web site to help current owners sell thier boats. They don't charge owners to list their boats and don't charge a commission if they help sell a boat - simply a service to owners. One of the boats listed is "Tiare" which was docked next to us for a week in February. The owners have just bought an Endeavour 38 which is actually a much larger boat then the 36.

When we originally bought our 36 and when we sold it last year, we found that the 36 retained its value very well which caused us to buy a new one instead of paying almost the same price for a used one.  The price increase last year probably makes a used one more attractive than they used to be.

By the way, didn't mention before, but again you probably already know, the Endeavour is a good bit heavier boat than at least one of the others you are looking at. I consider that a postive after being on both boats as I feel the Endeavour is more solidly built. We used ours a good bit for offshore fishing off the Georgia coast and were always glad to know the boat is very well built.
