Attached is the latest OKC Mayoral Proclamation which issued today. I am also attaching a recent court order that will speed up the release of our municipal defendants from the County jail, and essentially creates an immediate release for new arrests (they process the paperwork, put the defendant on an own recognizance and give the next court date to the defendant). The unsigned attachment (should be signed by tomorrow) is for municipal hold releases. I should have put it in the original Order - just forgot. This way, when a defendant is ready to be released on state charges, a municipal hold will not delay the release. Obviously, these court orders are temporary - made to coincide with the emergency declarations.

Yes! I would also greatly appreciate specifics as to what everyone is doing.
Are non-essential municipal employees working?
Is your library open?
What about the Senior Citizen meal program (often served at a municipal building)?
Are you looking at restricting any private business activities?
Thank you,
Kim Spady

Just wondering if some of you whose cities have issued emergency proclamations due to COVID-19 might be willing to share?

Okmulgee declared emergency and closed to the public all buildings operated by the City or Municipal Authority starting at 1:00 pm today. The staff will still be working and citizens can conduct business by email, by phone or drive through window or drop box. They can also call for an appointment if there is a one-on-one meeting required.
We are cancelling municipal court, library and a store at our lake. The building owned by the city but leased to the area nutrition center for seniors is not affected because it is not operated by the City.
We are still having our regular meeting tomorrow night because we need to move on with business. Monthly claims need to be approved so they can be paid and there are still issues to resolve.
I think a postponement or rescheduling of a meeting would be better than not having them at all as business still needs to be transacted on behalf of the citizens.
