Local Orange ponds

4/1/14
Just did a few errands and stopped at 4 local ponds. (3:45-4:30PM)-nothing
unusual.
Old Tavern Rd Pond
About 150 Canada Geese, Robins, cowbirds, Red winged blackbirds singing,
crows.

BM70 Pond (off RAcebrook Rd).
1 Male Wood duck
6 Green winged teal (3M, 3 F) 1 Killdeer calling & flying overhead,
Starlings,
500+ (conservative estimate) "blackbirds" flying high overhead.

Indian Lake
7 Canada Geese (one with yellow neckband  C245), 4 Ring billed gulls, 12
mallards,
1 Blue Jay, Red winged blackbirds, Starlings, Robins, Common Grackles.

Wright's Pond
22 Ring billed gulls, 3 Herring gulls, 12 Canada Geese (all fighting over
bread that someone left), 2 Mallards, 3 Crows.
