Hi
we have an endeavour 48 that we currently keep in the Abacos.
We are looking at options on moving her for a while next year.
We want to be far South enough to avoid winterizing and in a secure marina where she can be left long term.
We would need an area where insurance wasn't a problem.
looking for attractive locales with good cruising.
Any recs on the Southern portion of the Inland rivers? Its not an area we have cruised before.
Beam is 18", LOA about 55"
Thanks Jonah.

Columbus Ms comes to mind,  it is far enough up the river to be out of the Hurricane insurance zone, although it seems that insurance co's are  pro-rating the cost, that is, the closer to the Gulf the more they charge.  Demopolis has a new marina that is quite nice and has a lot of openings under cover. The security looks adequate and they have a lift if that service is needed.  Use Active Captain to obtain phone numbers.

Robert and Patty Mitchell with Maggi the wonder dog
ORINOCO, lying Mississippi river, Alton
