My current situation is that my wife has agreed that we can retire to the Philippines in two years, so I am planning to build there. I am still evaluating possible building/living sites, but my previous experience in New Guinea suggests that somewhere well away from major urban areas is desirable. Some parts of the Visayas look very inviting.
