All, is anyone in a position they could share a current franchise agreement between a cable company and municipality? The county I represent is about to begin renegotiating a cable franchise agreement that is 8 years old and expires in 2 years. I believe there may have been a lot of changes not only in FCC regulations, but what services these "old cable companies" provide has also changed. All these old cable companies now bundle services some of which are "cable tv" but others are streaming, broadband, VOIP etc. and how those get sorted out and covered in franchise agreements is very different. In many ways I feel like it will be like starting from scratch. I'm hoping someone has some recent experience with negotiating a franchise agreement and may even have a form you can share.
