Note 3: It seems to be the year for Northern Lapwings; besides the one in CT, there was one seen in MA and up to 3 in Newfoundland. There is lots of discussion on CTBirds about the habitat they prefer, and about what other European strays might be waiting to be found. Note 4: Be on the lookout for just about anything unusual! It appears this Barnacle Goose is the same as the one that was in NY last weekend, AND was banded in Scotland.
