Note 1: Sorry for the lack of reports the last couple of days, it was
unavoidable. And today's report is likely incomplete and a bit
muddled.
Note 2: An extralimital Hermit Warbler is reported from Long Island.
Note 3: It seems to be the year for Northern Lapwings; besides the one
in CT, there was one seen in MA and up to 3 in Newfoundland. There is
lots of discussion on CTBirds about the habitat they prefer, and about
what other European strays might be waiting to be found.
Note 4: Be on the lookout for just about anything unusual! We could
have rare birds from any point of the compass!

12/04/10 - Stratford -- The BARNACLE GOOSE I found yesterday on
Wooster Park Pond (Freeman Ave.) was flying out of the pond at 8:40 am
just as I arrived. It flew south, then west. It appears this Barnacle
Goose is the same as the one that was in NY last weekend, AND was
banded in Scotland.
